Guest guest
My Kaitlyn really does not fit the bill for low muscle tone. She is very athletic looking and has a very animated face. Her favorite thing to do is listen to all hip-hop, rap and pop music. She has an extensive CD collection. It amazes me that she knows exactly where every song is on each CD…me, I have to look at the jewel case everytime. _____ From: Autism_in_Girls [mailto:Autism_in_Girls ] On Behalf Of Shanna Sent: Saturday, December 30, 2006 8:09 PM To: Autism_in_Girls Subject: Re: Looking Younger than actual age I thought this was so interesting! When (age 12) was born, she was youngest of 5 children, I was so shocked at how floppy she was. She had so low muscle tone. She also showed signs of autism at age 3 months. She would push away after nursing and not look at me. She also would stare at her hands for 6 hours at a time. I never knew anyone with autism growing up. I had never seen Rainman. I actually thought (in 1996) when the doctor told me she was might be autistic that he said " artistic " ! I know this sounds unbelievable after having 5 children but I led a sheltered life.
