Guest guest
Hey Gail, Glad you have someone to help. Depression is almost a side effect of this disease and most of us suffer. I know that I have been more down that usual this week with the cold and dark days and the extra helpings of pain. When I hurt to the point that I don't want to do anything and I don't care about anything is when I really have to battle the depression dragon. Thanks for sharing. Lynn -- Depression Hey, gang, getting ready for snow here in the Heartland. Kinda looking forward to it, actually, as long as it's not ice! I saw a therapist today for an evaluation and was diagnosed w/depression. I've really known this all along, but just hadn't taken steps to do anything about it. I was already taking Lexapro but she wants to add Wellbutrin to that. Seems I remember some of you saying you've taken it. Any comments, bad or good, would be appreciated. Anyway, I'm glad I've started going, plan to see her every two weeks. She gave me a blank journal to keep and wants me to bring it in each visit. She says she can see this disease being a major factor, with all the pain and meds endured, but there are other things that are causing problems too. Hopefully, I'll feel better soon. Hope everyone's day is good and pain-free... Guest guest
Hi Gail; I take Welbutrin also with another anti depressant and the two side effects that I get are a nasty tasting mouth and the hiccups. Sometimes several times a day. I want to say also I spend years in therapy and it does help to have a third person, not family or friends that can listen away to your feelings and help guide you. The best of luck to you dear and do keep it up. Smiles,

Guest guest
Hi Gail I take Lexipro and at times Wellbutrin. For me the smallest dose of Wellbutrin did kick things in the right direction. If I took even 75 mg which is the lowest dose in a pill...I talked too much..and was a little disinhibited. Too open..I know I am a little like that anyway but...that's what happened. I did well with one half of a 75 mg. Listen to your doc...I think it is great she wants you to use a journal..terrific!!! Have a nice day Liz NJ
Guest guest
Gail, I hope the wellbutrin helps. I can tell you that I gave alot of the drug to patients and the biggest complaint was dizziness and confusion or drowsiness. I have to tell you that I have been keeping ajounal since April and it is very helpful. Until I started writing in a jounal I was like nothing is bothering me. But, I was suprised to find out that other things were bothering me. I think we all can be depressed because` we can not control the still's disease. I know that is frustrating for me since I am a type a personality. LOL. Keep smiling and let me know how you are doing. Love, Danni Depression Hey, gang, getting ready for snow here in the Heartland.
