Guest guest
Everyone, has been found! One of the police dogs located her at the bottom of a ravine. She has some cuts and scrapes, but is otherwise FINE! The police just dropped her off and we gave our statements to the detectives. seems completely o.k. and even protested when they tried to bring her to the car from the ravine. She kept saying " outside! outside! " ....that's my little adventurer! She is happily eating and humming right now, and you'd never know anything happened to her. Of course Mommy needs about a week in the Bahamas with a giant Mai Tai! Whew! Thanks so much to all who wrote and thought of us. You are a huge blessing in our life. Hugs to all,

Guest guest
I kept it on Foxnews, hoping on one hand they'd mention it so I'd get an update, hoping on the other no news was good news. I remember that day Allie disappeared in the mall for 15 minutes, I can't imagine what just went through. Debi

Guest guest
I am so happy she is safe at home now. I didn't check my mail until a few moments ago so I got to go through the entire suspense in a matter of minutes. I can't imagine how you feel. Just curious, what do you plan to do with the school to prevent a repeat? Have you thought of that yet? Re: ** Update!** > > Everyone, > > has been found! Guest guest
Praise God!! She is now safe and sound at home with the love of her family surrounding her. Just a thought...they have some gadgets that I have been looking into for my Destiney as well (she is a wanderer too)...they have wristwatch ones that can locate our girls and also bracelet ones....just thought I would put this info out there for you. I have one that is a necklace (not as nice as the others) called " Angel Alert " for when we are out and about, it beeps when she starts to walk off a bit and lets me know (they are so quick at times) it only cost me about $40. My Destiney loves to wander when she sees I am looking at something...I feel I always have to hold onto her. God Bless you and yours! Guest guest
, I just read your happy news….you must be so ecstatic!!!! May I ask how far away from school did the police find her? Not sure if your daughter is like mine at that age, but my would try to repeat the same action again, so her school staff better be on more alert. God bless you and your family on the happy reunion. _____ From: Autism_in_Girls [mailto:Autism_in_Girls ] On Behalf Of cathylynn2 Sent: Tuesday, September 19, 2006 7:44 PM To: Autism_in_Girls Subject: Re: ** Update!** Everyone, has been found! Guest guest
, I am so glad that is home safe and sound. I can only imagine the fear that you felt as a parent when she was missing. I have a 13 daughter with Asperger's but I am also a paraprofessional in an ASD center program for elementary age students in SE Michigan. We have a couple students who are known runners. I wear my running shoes everyday and we watch our gates and ours kids like hawks (no one has thought of scaling the fence yet). It only takes a second for a determined child to take off. So far no one has gotten off school property and I pray that never happens but no matter how vigilant one is things can happen. I wear my running shoes everyday. One of our moms had a scare last weekend when her son was mad that she didn't stop at Burger King for french fries and took off out the door at home (no doubt heading to BK) she didn't hear the door alarm because her other ASD son was screaming. By the time, she called 911 the police where already on to him (someone had reported a child running down a major road) and because the police department had viewed a video on Autism the officer who responded recognized that this was a child with ASD and was able to respond accordingly and appropriately and my little buddy was brought home safely, too. > > Oh , thank God!!!
