Guest guest
Thanks, . I'm glad to hear that the inositol hasn't caused any sleep problems for your son. My daughter is already on 1500mg, but she's been taking it all in the morning. I think dividing the doses may be the way to go. She already has problems sleeping, so I didn't want to add to that... your post makes me feel better about having her take some later in the day. I'm glad it's worked well for your son - I hope we see some consistent improvement soon. Thanks again! > > Hi, > > My 10 year old son has been taking inositol since last June. He takes it in two doses - about 1,800 mg in the morning after breakfast, and about 1,800 mg right before bed. He's never had any trouble sleeping. I've never heard of inositol causing sleep problems. You should increase the dosage slowly, as it can cause stomach upset. The dose my son is taking is really considered pretty low, but I stopped here because I saw an improvement in his OCD symtoms. I believe that adults can take up to 18 grams a day. > > Good luck, and I hope your daughter does as well as my son has. > > >
