Just reading re the center in Northbrook, at the OCD Chicago website, the owner

is listed on their Advisory Board - so sounds good!

Hope it works out well. Did your son's OCD recently start? My son's began at

the start of 6th grade, a few little quirks before that.

My son has been showing classic signs for about 2-years, but we didn't

contribute them to OCD. We met with a couple of doctors, but none of them

picked up on the OCD. My wife went over some of his symptoms with the school

Social Worker and she suggested he might have OCD. We spoke with a Psychiatrist

and he confirmed her theory.

I've been getting some good responses about AATC. Parents are stating their

counselors are extremely knowledgeable. We're going to do a little more

research, but we're leaning towards AATC.

Not sure how far you want travel, but I believe the Center for Anxiety Disorders

associated with 's Memorial in Wisconsin has an office in the Kenosha area

just over the IL border - probably 45mins or less from where you are I would

guess. You would likely need to get referral from 's but they are one of

the best with OCD CBT/ERP.
