Guest guest
I just looked on the ocfoundation website and saw that in my old city, Memphis TN, there is now a provider listed. I am so excited even though I no longer live there! I, at one time, thought of writing each therapist in Memphis (specifically the ones on my insurance list) and enclosing a letter and documentation on the necessary types of therapy for ocd, and pleading with them to get properly trained. However, like most good ideas, it never went further than that. I will, however, do this in my new area as the closest ones are over an hour away. I live on a Peninsula by Seattle with a gazillion therapists and not one has been specifically trained to help children with ocd. For all of you who have a little more time now because your children are in a good place, we should take some time to do this not only for our kids, but for the ones who are sure to come.
