Webinar: Jon Pierce-Shimomura

Dear Friends:

Please join DSRTF and researcher Jon Pierce-Shimomura on Tuesday, May 22 at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET for a special webinar about his work on Down syndrome cognition research.

DSRTF grant recipient Pierce-Shimomura, whose work has been called " brilliant and revolutionary, " is an associate professor of neurobiology at UT-Austin and has received a prestigious Transformative Research Projects Award from the National Institutes of Health. He is conducting promising research using miscroscopic worms to develop treatments for Down syndrome, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s diseases. He is also the parent of a child with DS.

To hear Pierce-Shimomura's unique perspective on the course of cognition research and potential paths for the future, register now, then join us on Tuesday for this exciting online event. And as always, please email questions in advance to dsrtf@... to be answered as time allows.

Sincerely,

The DSRTF Team
