I hope you feel better soon.

I think I'm back

I had my bladder surgery last thurs, been on morphine and demerol,

trying to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully can post more,

I have a tv interview in the morn about vaccines & autism, trying to

research like mad while semi-lucid.

Thanks, I'm getting there. I finally went to see my primary care doc,

he said I have bursitis in my hip from a surgery complication, and

double swimmer's ear, I literally cannot year out of my right side

because of the swelling. Any advice for how to clear it up? I've done

the peroxide thing and now have prescrip ear drops, still can't stand

the feeling of it being so swollen and the silence on that side. I got

a cortisone shot for my hip.

<sigh> and I thought it was gonna be about my female stuff!

Debi, make sure the ear drops do not contain thimerosal.

There's probably a homeopathic remedy that would help the ear

thing. For some reason, belladonna pops into my head, but that

doesnt' really mean anything. I seem to recall reading that once to

try belladonna for hearing loss after a cold, but you'd have to look

it up because I could have dreamed that.

Debi,

I do have some advice. I have gotten reaccuring ear

infections, since I was 6, and the kind that are so

painful that you want to scream and you feel like you

would almost rather be dead. The only thing that used

to help it was sudafed, the little red dot kind, but

that was years ago and now they don't have that kind

and the stuff they have now doesn't help it. When I

was still living at home, my mom had some tramatic

health issues that caused her to have to stay in the

hospital for 2 months. During that time she decided to

get into health food and herbal remedies and natural

healing. She found something called Coloidal Silver.

Basicly it is a natural amoxasilan (spelling?). Only

you can put it directly on whatever is infected.

My mom poured that into my ears, during one of these

painful ear infections and 3 hours later, I had no

pain. The swelling went down and I could finally hear

again. You use it in the ears just as you would

peroxide. Pour it in, let it sit as long as you like

and then dump it out.

I have used it for eye infections, sore throught,

urinary tract infections, infected cuts and all sorts

of things. It made my eye infection go away in 1 hour

and I had already seen a doctor twice about that

stupid infection.

For internal infections, such as the sore throught and

the Urinary tract infection, you just take it orally

acording to the directions on the bottle. You can take

a little more than it says too, if the infection is

bad.

My husband actually takes it for orally for his

Crohn's didease. Crohn's is when your immune system is

too strong and eats away at your intestines. The

silver kills your immune system a little and so it

seems to balance him out a little.

The other thing that works very well is Garlic oil.

You can make it yourself or buy it at a health food

store, they even have garlic ear drops there at GNC.

You drop it into your ears and again, use it the same

as the peroxide.

The peroxide, actually is not really good for your

ears, unless there is something in there that it needs

to disolve or clear out. So I would hold off on the

peroxide use and try the garlic and the coloidal

silver.

I sure hope this helps. I am so sorry about all your

pain and suffering. Believe me, if anyone knows about

hip pain, it is me but unfortunately I haven't yet

found a solution for that one.

Let us know how all this works, Esther

I to usually dip a q tip into olive oil or a oil high in antioxidant

and not staurate of it but try to get some of the oil back off and

then swab of the ear not deep but to allow the oil to drain in and

use of warm packs to lay on if can. try to sleep sitting in a

recliner chair to prevent laying flat and not letting ears drain

well. no showers or hair shampooing for a few days to keep water

from getting trapped . I to buy of all natural ear drops at a health

food place it is with all natural things and it to me does help.

I think I'll go get some silver if I feel up to the walking, that's a

great idea, thanks. I've tried some antihistamines but since it's on

the outside don't know if it will help or not, didn't seem to but it

wasn't sudafed.

Has your husband tried naltrexone for his crohn's? Allie's doing the

transdermal, I can tell a diff in her, read it helps with crohn's,

don't know what dosage, though.

Thanks again,

Debi

Thanks, Sondra, I wish I'd done that sooner. My hubby always says all

an ear ache needs is some " sweet oil " (olive oil " heated up. That's

what his uncle used to do for hubby when he was a kid, always better

the next day. The whole side of my head feels inflamed and Allie's

begging me to swim. <sigh> That's the down side of having a pool,

there's no " We can't go there today, Dear. " I'll be glad when hubby

gets home, I'll make him take her out back.
