Guest guest
Ezra gets fishy breath when he gets a cold. I have been told that it means sinus infection but he's never ran a fever. His colds do last a few weeks though. This last cold I've been giving lots of saline spray and colloidal silver and it seems to help. Ezra's tympanogram has always been flat and he's never had an ear infection and passes his hearing tests. He even responds to the slightest whisper and hears things that are rooms away with the door closed. His ENT says it's just the shape of his ear that doesn't allow for a proper reading. hth. Lorianne Hi all, Hope(ds),who is 9 months, has terrible breath. She has a cold right now and it has that "sick" sort of smell. But could this be a sign of something else going on? We also had her hearing checked. Not so great. Flat tympanogram indicating fluid. And a score of 55 on the hearing test. Normal is 0-25. We have an appt. on Mon. to see the ENT. I will be pushing for tubes. She has had no prior ear infections, so I hope he is as willing. Thanks for all the support.
Guest guest
Since saliva has lysozymes in it, it helps to kill bacteria in the mouth. But when you breathe through your mouth, like when you have a cold, the saliva dries out and can't kill the bacteria as well. Then your breath gets stinky!
