Sondra,

I don't post too often but I love reading what everyone has to say and your

words are always full of wisdom. We have the ASA meeting on the calendar so

I do hope to make it to Arizona in 2007. I would love to meet you as well

and if you are ever out our way please let me know.

never been of west to be to visit or stay , flew through years back to

go to the san diego areas for family vacations. that was of I to think

2002. that is when I to left of the kids and husband and found the

ocean by self walking over an hour to find it but could feel and sense

of it and so navigated a place that had never been to in life and

found ocean by self. LOL the husband was ever so upset to me that day

for fear of what happened to me. I to foudn doggie beach. i to love of

the ocean much so. Last time went though had both a love and fear of

it both surging back and forth of it. I to love the warm sand and the

sound of hte water rushing and the feel of it on my feet the blue sky

and the shells. I to think new mexico and arizonia will be of very

similar and never been to that sort of dessert like place. it will beo

f a much seeked down time for me. the husband of me will arrive a few

days later for him and the brother of me will come the last day of the

conference and we will stay for a few more days for vacations there.

they want of to see of the grand canyon but I to have intense fears

and sensory issues so fear seeing but want to see of the colors and

such of the canyon. we to plan to stay a week more.

Sondra,

You will love the SW. Except for the occasional big city there are a lot of

open spaces and in many places you can se forever. Phoenix can be very hot

especially in the summer but is a wonderful place to visit. Here in NM we

have had incredible rain that we are not used to getting so everything is

very green and lush at the moment. We are actually having flooding problems

at the moment but no one has been hurt thank goodness.

We will be in touch and I do hope to meet all of you at the conference.

I have lived here 10yrs & still have not made it to the Grand Canyon, but, I

have been to Sedona which has beautiful red mesas, just absolutely

gorgeous. It's only about an hour and a half from Phoenix. Just another

thought as to where else you might want to go.
