Don't Know How Much More I Can Handle

Hi everyone.

I feel bad about posting this, but I need to vent. About 2 weeks ago, I

became quite ill with vision/depth perception problems and my right leg

went numb. I ended up in the hospital, had a CAT scan, bloodwork

done....and was sent on my way without a diagnosis.

Was able to get in to see a Neurologist a few days later and had a full

exam done. I have been waiting for an MRI (huge waitlist here), and will

finally get it on November 18th. It will be another 7-10 days after that

for me to get my results.

My problem is that since I ended up in hospital, they've taken me off all

my meds. It didn't take long for every joint in my body to swell up and

become very sore. Each day, it gets worse and worse.

I don't know how much more of this pain I can take. I have pain meds,

and have been taking them as prescribed, sometimes even a bit more

to try and help things. The meds only make a small dent in the pain,

but I take them because I feel as though I am doing SOMETHING. I

feel so helpless.

I have Tylenol 4's with Codeine and Percocet for the pain. What is the

next strongest I can take (will ask my doc for a prescription)? I am

allergic to asprin, so am limited as to what I can have. I just want

something that works. I don't have the time or money to invest in meds

that aren't going to help.

Also, anyone else have to go off all their meds immediately and react

the same way? How long did it last, and what brought you relief.
