Guest guest
I was interested in trying relacore but heard that facial hair was a possible side effect. Does anyone know anything about that?
Guest guest
Relacore, and similar products (Cortislim, Cortizene, etc.) are designed to help promote weight loss, specifically belly fat, that is a direct result of stress and excess cortisol. Taking these products to lose weight when there is no excess of cortisol can create unwanted side effects due to a cortisol deficiency. Cortisol deficiency leads to a compensatory rise in pituitary ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) secretion. The increase in ACTH produces a redirection of steroids through the adrenal androgen pathway. The result is excess availability of the major adrenal androgen, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHA) which is converted to testosterone and produces the metabolic response associated with excess androgens, leading to things such as unwanted facial hair. So the bottom line is, if you do not think you have stress and excess cortisol, then do not take products such as Relacore. > I was interested in trying relacore but heard that facial hair was a > possible side effect.
