So tonight Abby started with a twitching on the side of her face, mostly by

her mouth. She did this last November and it then went into a full complex

partial status seizure. THIS time the twitching went on for an hour on and off.

I called her neurologist who told me to give her and extra dose of her

seizure meds. While I did see a decrease in it, I did notice that it is almost

feeling's related. We had a bunch of people over for dinner and it got kind of

loud, however the " tic " started before the noise did, but they were very

slight. Then as she got more overwhelmed so did the tic. We came inside (we

bbq'ed

outside) and laid in her bed and read for a while. The " tics " almost

completely disappeared. She had to get up to go to the bathroom again and they

came

back again just like before. The minute she got out of bed they began. Her

friend was over and is giving Abby sewing lessons. After calming

down in her room we came back out and she wanted to sew with . As soon as

she started sewing the " tics " came back, but not as bad. She did have an extra

dose of seizure meds in her by that point as well. Other then the time Abby

did this pre-seizure, I have not seen this activity or any kind of tic like

motion before. Any suggestions?

Of course her neurologist is out of town and I had to talk to another doc

that was taking her calls. However he was very nice, but it always seems that

when I need to talk to her docs it is over a holiday weekend.
