Guest guest
NDSS and Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action have paired up to present a free webinar about the impact of the new prenatal screening method...this is critical information for members of our community, imo... " On October 17, 2011, the world of prenatal testing for Down syndrome changed as we know it. Sequenom, a San Diego-based testing company, announced its new prenatal test, MaternT21. The test promises to deliver the most accurate probability assessment of a pregnancy being positive for Down syndrome, earlier than ever before. As this testing becomes more proven and accepted, it is expected that it will change the current status of most parents receiving a postnatal diagnosis to most receiving a prenatal diagnosis. This has the potential for changing how society views those with Down syndrome.
