, here are a couple of URLs with explanations of lab tests:

But I can tell you that the Complete Blood Count is a count of your

various kinds of blood cells, such as white blood count, red blood

count, etc. HGB is hemoglobin, and HCT is Hematocrit. If these were

low, it would indicate anemia. Since yours are high, that might be a

good thing, but I would suggest you google Hemoglobin and Hematocrit to

make sure.

The Sed Rate is used to measure inflammation in the body.

The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel includes Electrolytes, Glucose (blood

sugar), and a check on liver and kidney function. Since all of yours

are normal, you should be glad. With that glucose of 69, you certainly

don't have diabetes; and since I do, I'm jealous of that low number.

The TSH has something to do with thyroid function.

I believe the ANA is something they use to check for lupus. If it's

positive, it doesn't automatically mean you have lupus, though.

I hope this helps to get you started on understanding your lab results.

What I did was make a list of things tested, looked them up, and wrote

out what they are. Then I can always look back if I forget what

something is.

I'm sure that or a, our moderators, will also give you some

information on this.
