Guest guest
Hi Kassi, Responding a little late to your post about maybe knowing a woman on the spectrum from Massachusetts who might be interested in mentoring my daughter. I would definitely be interested in that. Please let me know if it looks like a possibility. Thanks, Melinda
Guest guest
Sure thing. Next time I type with her I'll ask her. She's my honorary sister *smiles*. Boston also has a REALLY COOL program, the Method, which may or may not be appropriate in some way (I may have already said this, forgetfull Kassi, who hopes to train in this in July). And I know a good music therapist on the spectrum in the Boston area too. Sheesh, you'd think I lived there... Guest guest
I'm ok, just busy with moving. Still upset though. I'm sick and tired of it always being the person on the spectrum's fault. Kassiane who just got home from buying ribbon to make memorial ribbons for McCarron. You know, the 3 year old as cute as can be who was killed by her mother for being autistic. And now everyone is using it to say they need more services, even though had only been in IL with her mother 10 days. Yeah. That McCarron. --- sondra wrote: > just wondering if you are of okay and if you are now > done being angry > to those words that seemed to make of you go silent? > Sondra > > > > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
A new place, about an hour away. Last year I moved to Montana, and now to the middle of nowhere, Montana (well, St Regis, but the population is in the low 100s). I love the new place, I hate packing and moving. Guest guest
Is it beautiful there? I've always imagined Montana to be a gorgeous place. Now I'm stimming the Marie Osmond song, lol Debi > > > moving? Guest guest
OH it is SO gorgeous! Missoula is in a valley, so you can see all the mountains, but St Regis is in foothills and the property is on the border of a state forest and there's lots of wildflowers growing there...one cat has moved there (we're needing lots of trips, moving in a pickup truck...and 3 cats who need a lap to ride on to move) and she was having separation anxiety but liked all the outside... And I'll be able to build a gym there, which is pretty cool. I'll also be able to take the entire adult gymnastics class down the biggest sled hill on a sattellite dish all at once-we ended up with an ancient dish, and almost the whole class is snowboarders and skiers, so they have their own helmets, and my roommate and I have our own helmets for such things... As much as I hate change and the moving is stressing me out, being there is WONDERFUL. Kassiane --- Debi wrote: > Is it beautiful there? I've always imagined Montana > to be a gorgeous > place. Guest guest
montana, I to never been of there. I to think it is maybe a very cold state with much winter snow and cold because of the mountains from what I to think remember seeing of that state, but could be thinking of the wisconsin too. I to get them all mixed up even though have of strong interest to maps and states things. Will you still be of going to national conference? Will you be of to fly or drive of it. I to be of driving of it the son of me is to be of a driver person now too so we both will be to take of turns to drive of it. I to be coming with all my childrens except one who wants to go to a friends house for a week wheil i to be of gone. he hates long term driving , he hates new and does not have of interest to see places but if forced he likes of them and then a year later will share of the trip but if asked after the trip will tell you he to hated it much so . I to think it is becauase it is too cluttered with all the negative sensory overload still strong to hims thinking that he cant remember the fun parts for a long time. So i to be to take him to cleveland Ohio for to see a friend. The husband of me wanted to come but I to sayed NO to him becausehe distracts me much from my work and he frustrates me because he will not be to do anythings with the kids he wants to just stay at hotel, I to telled him a time back he cannot be to go to any work related events with me any more. LOL so he is of grounded from them for a while. Sondra In Autism_in_Girls , Kassi wrote: > > A new place, about an hour away. Guest guest
I have a friend who lives there. He wouldn't leave for anything. But I'm sure the winters can be brutal. But the skiing is fantastic. > > Will you still be of going to national conference? > Will you be of to > fly or drive of it. This year it's just waaaaay too far to drive, especially because I'm coming alone. If I could switch off with someone I MIGHT drive but probably not. >I to be coming with all my childrens > except one who > wants to go to a friends house for a week wheil i to > be of gone. he > hates long term driving , he hates new and does not > have of interest > to see places but if forced he likes of them and > then a year later > will share of the trip but if asked after the trip > will tell you he > to hated it much so . I remember being like that. The best solution was to have me stay up all night before we left and then I'd sleep 10 hours in the car. That way I didn't have all the overstimulation of most of the trip. > So i to be to > take him to cleveland Ohio for to see a friend. When I had a boyfriend I told him he wasn't allowed to come to any of my speaking stuff because he made me nervous, and at MAAP he pouted when we went to dinner with AAPC-he had wanted to go somewhere else. So after that I told him no more conferences for him. Kassiane > In Autism_in_Girls , Kassi > > wrote: > > > > A new place, about an hour away.
