Hi all,

I haven't used inositol yet. I'd love to know what your experiences are with

it. How effective it is? Are there any side effects? What dose do you use?

I'm thinking about using it for a 12 year old, but I don't know anything about

it. Do any of you have adult children who use it?

Thanks in advance!

Please go to the " Files " section of this site - there are several articles about

Inositol and dosing. It worked very well for our anxiety issues.

--please forgive my ignorance, I'm new here. What is Inositol, how does it

help OCD and where do you get it? What dose did you start out with, please?

Thanks,

Re: Inositol

I started giving inositol to my 10 yr old son this past June. I really didn't

know how much to give him, but based on recommendations here, I started low and

gradually increased until I saw improvement. I stopped at about 5 grams a day,

split into two doses. He has no side effects at all. My son said he feels so

much better since he's been taking it, and he's honestly like a different kid.

He's so happy and relaxed, when he used to always be very anxious. His OCD

symptoms are non-existent at the moment. He used to have bad thoughts,

separation anxiety, anticipatory anxiety, and just always seemed to be worried

about something. Now he's really enjoying school, friends, and activities.

I know that everyone responds differently, but the change in my son has been

dramatic! Best of luck to you.
