OCD and Tics

Hello all. My dd was diagnosed w/OCD in January. Even before then, I wondered if

she may have Tourettes because she was humming all the time w/o even realizing

it. Well my daughter told me last night that she has felt the urge to grimace

for the last couple of weeks. Today we started her on Zoloft for her OCD

symptoms and after reading up online, it sounds like Zoloft (she's on the

generic kind) can make tics worse? So I'm wondering: Are tics a symptom of OCD

or of Tourette's? And are there any medications that can take care of both?

Also, do these symptoms peak w/stress (beginning of school) or sickness (had

fever and mild sore throat/cold symptoms)?

My poor daughter has been through the ringer w/OCD, Separation anxiety

(Dreadfully bad - had to get principals/counselors/teachers/bus drivers

involved), ADHD and now tics all in the last month! I don't know how these kids

can cope... ;o(
