tapering off predisone

I am trying to taper off of predisone. The first week or so was okay

but now I am in more pain, which I expected. Can anyone tell me what I

need to watch for while trying to get off this drug? I have been on it

for nine years. My neck really hurts but I do have a lot of neck

problems. Now my knees and hips are kicking in. However, due to a bad

dexa scan I need to get off this drug.

Any help would be appreciated.
