Guest guest
Hi there, it's been a very long time since I wrote something. I know that there are so many parents with experience following this blog and I am going to try to tap into your knowledge and experience once again. Ana is now 4 almost 5 and finishing up Pre-school. All through Pre-school I have been asking for help from the OT concerning her need for sensory and her lack of ability to use her hands. Again and again I was told, that since she is mentally not capable of certain things the need for one of one OT is not there. I believe that her need to have sensory input is so great that she is kept from learning. She will seek sensory over learning. Anyways, I need to find ways to argue in her next IEP for Ana to get one on one OT. Any suggestions? She sometimes doesn't get enough deep sleep at night because she rocks for several hours.
