Guest guest
, You don't sound paranoid, you sound respectful. And I will abide by your wishes, won't forward it anywhere. Thanks for sharing with us. Melinda
Guest guest
Hi Melinda, I do appreciate everyone's enthusiasm...I really do! And I am SO incredibly proud of . It's just that it took a long time even to let ME hear her play, and she seemed a little anxious about it when I told her I would like to share her music. Also, obviously I have not copyrighted it, and it just makes me a little nervous the way things zoom around the globe in 5 seconds on the internet. I guess I would have to say, if you've downloaded it, keep it for yourself, do not forward the address of my home page, but certainly if your family or friends are at your home and you want to play it for them, then that's wonderful. Do I sound paranoid here? I don't mean to. I just want to respect until I figure out exactly what, if anything, is going to transpire with her music. I hope everyone understands! Thanks again, > Oh my goodness! I just heard the incredible song! May I share this > with some > family and friends, , or would you rather not? Guest guest
Do poor mans copyright. Put the article on disc, package it up and mail it to yourself but DON " T open the package. Should you need it, it could be opened in front of witnesses to verify you had the original song. It is what I do in case someone takes my work. Also, if it helps, tell that everyone gets butterflies. You just have to teach the butterflies to fly in formation. Using that energy that makes one nervous is powerful and can drive you to do great things. I was once to shy to let my parents hear me play, but just 4 years ago I played with a country music band that did the opening show for Kenny Chesney at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta. Playing for thousands is like playing for one after time. But do remember, no musician likes to be heard before the piece meets ones personal satisfaction. I can't stand for people to hear me practice! Nadine Re: Re:'s Song Hi Melinda, I do appreciate everyone's enthusiasm...I really do! And I am SO incredibly proud of . Guest guest
I appreciate that, Melinda. If it were my music I'd say forward away.....but then it wouldn't be so remarkable, right? ; ) > , > You don't sound paranoid, you sound respectful. Guest guest
Well, thank you, Grace. I'm pretty amazed with her myself! Yes, she's only 6, but has been playing for half her life already, and before that sat in my lap from newborn and up listening and watching me play. Not to mention all those hours listening while still in the womb. Also, music plays in our house at almost all times. So I guess she really has been studying music non-stop since she was conceived! > > , > I'd comment but I think passed out about 30 seconds after it started. > GOOD HEAVENS. > > It's absolutely beautiful, amazing, remarkable, and .... well, > WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > > > Wow!!!! > 6 years old............. wow, wow, wow!! > > > Grace > Home of the Working German Shepherd > www.vomtauglichkeit.com
Guest guest
My DH is a tech writer and deals with copyright all the time. He suggested that you post the song link and give notice by signing the bottom of your post (like he does on work he protects) using the recognized copyright symbol. Something like: © Your name and your daughter's names. All rights reserved. He says that you have already basically done this, but you can use the fancy symbol anyway. Hope this helps. .... > > Do poor mans copyright. Put the article on disc, package it up and mail > it > to yourself but DON " T open the package.
