Guest guest
Hi I was wondering if anyone that has medicaid gets reimbursed for purchasing Ipad Apps? Such as Tap to talk, Prologue2go, etc. Thanks

Guest guest
I am in the "terrible" state of FL. Cuts abounding to all programs! Wait list of 19,000 people for Medwaiver. We have CDC (Consumer Directed Care). I requested and saved for an IPAD and Prologue2Go and it was approved by the state. My consultant was a little surprised, but immediately requested the same for her son. She was turned down the first time, but then approved. I would also advise asking your school district to buy it. There are some recent studies showing definate educational benefit specifically to children with Ds. ette To: DownSyndromeInfoExchange From: Dgaita1013@...Date: Fri, 20 May 2011 09:28:47 -0400Subject: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Re: Medicaid/Ipad Apps This is a great question, I am also curious. Guest guest
That's great news. Does anyone know the youngest age that our kids can get these aac benefits? My baby is 18 months and just now qualifies for speech services. Thanks! -dianne in CA I am in the "terrible" state of FL. Cuts abounding to all programs! Wait list of 19,000 people for Medwaiver. Guest guest
My daughter got her Dynavox when she was finishing her last year of preschool. The Go Talk was to easy for her. As for my youngest daughter with DS, I pushed for her to have speech as her older sister is non verbal. She got services at 12 months verses the usual 18 mths.
