Guest guest
several years ago, Dr. Dale Ulrich at the University of Michigan did a study in which he and his team put babies w/Ds on treadmills to help decrease the amount of time it took them to learn to walk (he found that the sooner the kids can be upright, the better it is for them all around..cognitively, motor-wise, etc...but the treadmills that they used were custom made and expensive (about $1000) In the following article, he gives a how-to on his methods, plus says that *any* treadmill can be used, as long as it can be slowed down to just under 1/2 mile an hour..which is pretty interesting (and much more affordable) http://www.umich.edu/~cmbds/treadmill_procedures.pdf
