Hi Judy,

B/c he may have had untreated strep for a long time, it can take a while to see

a difference, but you are on the right antibiotics at a very good dose, so my

advice is to just stick with it and give it time. I would also try a steroid

burst. Maybe this time b/c he is on antibiotics it will be beneficial. I still

think it is highly likely you are dealing with PANDAS. If you email Dr. K some

questions with a brief history, he will answer you back. It is only for his

phone conferences that he charges.

Chronic late stage lyme disease. He had the sudden onset of bad thought ocd and

now also has Tourettes. We have also questioned PANDAS in the past. Well, I just

had a series of extensive bloodwork done on my son. The lab showed he has a

streptozyme titer of 1:600, and it said he was positive for strep. My son has

had no sore throat for months. It also showed a DNase -B Antibody titer of 960.

Hi Colleen,

I have e-mailed Dr. K about a month ago and he said that it is very highly

likely my son has PANDAS, and/or Lyme. This was before I knew for sure he had

Lyme. ( He had only one positive lyme test)

From what I have read, the treatment is about the same for both disorders, and

my son is on these anitibiotics until March 12th when we go back to the LLMD and

see what he says than. I will definitley ask him more about his take on the

PANDAS seeing my son's test came back positive for the strep.

I suppose I should wait and see if my son shows any improvement over the next

few months

thanks so much

Hugs

Judy
