Guest guest
- It was like that for us only we didn't have the #2 thing down. It took us 2 years or so to train. Once after about 6 months I thought we were almost there then regression and back in diapers. Don't get discouraged she was around 5 when we finally got it. She's 6.5 now and just started to have wetting accidents again so even when you think you won't have to deal with it, it comes back to haunt you. Just have the patience of a saint and you'll get through it. Easier said then done. I think it'll happen faster she only wears underwear but yes it's a pain. Ask her if she's wet or dry. Try to visually show her the difference then keep asking her about wet/dry not always about pants...is dog wet or dry, it the laundry out of the washer wet or dry let her feel it. Maybe she just doesn't realise the difference. Use wet/dry examples often. When mom washes the dishes are they wet or dry. When it rains is it wet/dry. Lots of different examples will help her generalize overall wet and dry then it'll be easier to relate it to herself and keeping her pants wet/dry. Give it a shot. -- In Autism_in_Girls , Sagginario wrote: > > I have been training my daugther who will be 5 the end of June for 2 YEARS! > I just watched a home video of her right after her third birthday in which I > mention that nna is a " big girl and did pee-pee on the potty today.
