Guest guest
Hi My son had been on Prednisone three times for very bad poison ivy. Little did I know it was worsening his Lyme. I found this out later when I took him to the LLMD. His behavior was not good while on it either. I was told with the lyme, my son would get Herx reactions where he will get worse before better. I didn't realize this meant his OCD and ADHD would also. Thanks for the info though. I appreciate any and all info, because this puzzle never ends!!(sigh!!) Guest guest
Hi I wish my doctor could do that but he doesn't seem to think my son has PANDAS, although he didn't realize he had the strep until after all the bloodwork. It may be easier if I get the PANDAS doctor and have her consult him. Thanks for your thoughts Hugs judy ________________________________ To: Sent: Mon, November 2, 2009 3:01:16 PM Subject: Re: For those of you with PANDAS kids-QUESTION- 's question made me wonder too -- could your Lyme doctor call the PANDAS specialist, like a consult, and include all that with his charges/billing somehow, so no extra cost to you? some type of doctor consulting doctor thing, if they even do that sort of thing without charging patients. > > Ok, I will post now. I am not as familiar with Lyme as I should be - so I'll be sure to post the info about Steriods being contra-indicated, and that fact that he has steriods 3x. Let's see what we get back. You have a pretty serious issue here, since you have the Lyme to consider as well. I am so sorry to hear this. Do you think that your Lyme specialist understands the OCD portion? I know you are already all over this, but we did use ERP therapy along with the antibiotics - some of the OCD seemed to become almost a habit & thus
