Guest guest
Hi , After reading his bloodwork , his pediatrician and his psychiatrist both agree he has PANDAS. I did not go to a PANDAS specialist(I can't afford it)They told me there was no exact test to diagnose the PANDAS, but the bloodwork all shows it, along with his symptoms. His psychologist (who he sees next week has told me that he felt my son had it all along,) and he hasn't even seen the bloodwork yet. I called his neuropsychologist, and faxed the bloodwork to him who also suspected PANDAS in the summer and he agreed also. After phoning his lyme specialist, he too agreed my son has both. His advice was to just leave his antibiotics as they are. I don't know if I should contact a PANDAS specialist at this point. I was thinking I would wait until after his next visit with the lyme doctor because that would be 5 months on the abx, and see how he is. I had previouslly e-mailed with Dr, K , who said just through my letter, that he feels it is highly likely my son has PANDAS, and I did not have bloodwork at that time, so I'm guessing now he definitely has both!!!! thanks for asking! Did I see that your son is now diagnosed with PANDAS? So he does have Lyme & PANDAS? Could I ask who diagnosed, and what you plan to do next? I am very hopeful for him.
