Pam, is she still planning to go to a special school? It is such a hard thing to

tackle. The little at a time just didn't work for my dd. Truthfully, I think she

was just too ill to be successful. I am so glad your dd is cooperating with

meds. I am glad the Zoloft has helped lift her mood. A higher dose of Zoloft

could certainly make a difference with her anxiety, provided it doesn't turn out

that she is bipolar and make her manic. Before my dd was bipolar she took 200 mg

of Zoloft with success. I hope things go well with school. Good luck, Stormy

Stormy I worked with a behaviorist from Yale Parenting Clinic to get my daughter

to cooperate with taking medication. She was so fearful that it was poison. We

still work with Yale. Her fears are still present.

A low dose of zoloft seems to have lifted her mood (35mg). Although all the

amxiety is still there. I am not sure when school starts

if her mood will be sustained. I see though how much a difference medication

makes. She would get so depressed and have a meltdown about leaving places and

changes. I don't like all the nervous type

behaviors she has from the zoloft, but it is better than the meltdowns.

My daughter like yours also has a DX of AS.

Stormy we still are working on getting her to stay at school.

Yale is going to help me with that behavior too. They want her started out slow

and shape calm behavior if even for just a 2 hour school visit or less. I

remember you shared your daughter's

struggles in this area too.

thanks for asking,

Pam

panic attacks and depression. Recently I am concerned that she might also be Bi

polar. She seems to fit it pretty well. She is so moody and oppositional. I am

so tired of fighting with her over everything and anything. She is sooo hard to

get along with. I want to do things with her and enjoy each other. But that

doesn't seem to happen much. We have always home schooled. It is a good thing,

because I don't know how she would ever go to school. At times she is unable to

leave the house much. She goes back to the Dr. the 25th and I will discuss the

option of bi polar with him then. I did mention it to him on the phone the other

day. He increased the Celexa from 20mg to 30mg.
