Hi and All,

I appreciated your words of advice, , and heard almost the same thing from

my dd9 therapist this morning: just as any other child with a physical illness,

a mental illness sometimes need meds. We are holding our breath until our first

psychiatrist appointment next Friday. Things have gotten so bad with our dd9

that I pray meds will help her GAD so we can do ERP for her OCD (that almost

sounds like a funny haiku, lol).

,

Best wishes on your daughter's psychiatrist appointment. When the meds work, it

really makes a difference. Remember, too, if the first one doesn't work or has

too many side effects, there are many potential choices out there. It often

takes a little while to see the major improvements, but you may see some

improvement quite quickly (at least that was our experience). Here's hoping

that all goes smoothly for you. Keep us posted.
