Guest guest
I didnt know the donna thing was on the ASAN website. I have only been there twice. However it would not bother me because they were simply reporting a fact, not trying to make me sound like something I am not. I didn't "go" after you. I told you my perception of how well known I am. You keep bringing it up and going after me. "gproberston did not admit until recently that she was a member of ASAN even though it was public knowledge to anyone who could do a basic browser search." um. Nobody asked me. Nobody has asked me the names of my mother or my age. I am not hiding them either. I"As an unrelated aside, gprobertson, did you know that there's a woman with your exact same name living in South-East Queensland who's a dog breeder" There is also an autism researcher called Geraldine on, but that isn't me either. I do not see the relevance of that comment. I am not posting my diagnostic report but if you go to Tony's site, and you trawl through it meticulously, you might find a tiny reference to me. http://www.tonyattwood.com.au/publications.html You will have to hunt hard though - a hint is that you could go to the bottom of the resource papers section. Public knowledge about gproberston When gprobertson first came to this forum and mention was made that she had been interviewed by Donna , gprobertson went off on people for making mention of this as if it was a horrible thing to mention. The information was made available because gprobertson was making all sorts of claims while supporting and defending the use of questionable and/or dangerous treatments for autistic children. Where did the information come from that she had been interviewed by Donna ? Why right from ASAN's own website! " ASAN-Australia Member Geraldine on was interviewed by autistic activist Donna for the story "Unheard of? Think again. Interview with autistic teacher--Geraldine on" that ran in the online magazine American Chronicle on May 13, 2008 [end quote]." I don't remember ever seeing any posts from gprobertson online where she went after ASAN for posting that information the way she went after me for posting in Secret Society that she had been interviewed by Donna . Why would that be? Was it an attempt to keep her ASAN affiliation a secret? Who knows! gproberston did not admit until recently that she was a member of ASAN even though it was public knowledge to anyone who could do a basic browser search. And the Donna interview wasn't the only interview gprobertson gave.

You berated me time and again and made quite a hullyballoo over it. As for your alleged perception of how well known you are and the fact that you are interviewed by people like Donna and routinely find yourself presenting at Autism Conferences in Australia only goes to show that you are purposely misleading people into thinking you are a humble homebody when you know full well you are anything but a humble homebody. Barely known people don't usually present at Autism Conferences on a number of occasions. Your 'humility' is anything but 'humility.' It's all in the Secret Society forum history. As for you not knowing that ASAN had posted and linked to your interview with Donna (and yet you don't claim you were unaware they had linked to your ABC interview), I find that exceedingly difficult to believe given the circumstances. You state that you didn't get upset with ASAN for the post and link because they were merely reporting. When I posted the information here it was merely reporting as well but you went after me as if you were a madwoman. Why would that be, gprobertson? Guest guest
Raven, if I had not clarified my point about Donna, it would have stood as a truth. If I clarify it, I am accused of berating. I dont say I am a humble homebody. I am far from a homebody. I like to travel. Nor do I think presenting three or four times a year is the mark of a famous and influential person. The autism community is small so it is not unusual for minor speakers to do far more than I. Anyone can read the history of that thread and see that you went off and the on and on about how mentioning the interview with Donna was an unconscionable thing to do. You kept going on and on about how we were doing something horrible in mentioning the interview with Donna when we were doing nothing of the sort. Try again, gp. Guest guest
The English teacher program I participated in when in Japan required us to work with thousands of children. Add that to the number of children a teacher would work with over 20 years and you have a lot. It is not a contradiction. I didnt mind you mentioning the interview with Donna. I minded being misrepresented. Re: Public knowledge about gproberston gprobertson wrote: "Raven, if I had not clarified my point about Donna, it would have stood as a truth.
