Since it has changed to licking it sounds like it may well be compulsion based or as you say a tic - how exactly you would tell the difference I don't know!??? Sure hope the psychiatrist can rule out any medication aspects to this. Keep us posted! More hugs! That wait for doctors is the worst when you are in a crisis mode. Yet, I know for us, once we got there, they didn't always have answers anyway. So much is not understood or known. <sigh> It's frustrating! At least in your case, you can have some testing done and hopefully a med change, (agreeing with you about one at a time). I pray something brings him some relief soon. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
