Guest guest
i can understand why you are so upset. but don't be overly concerned. glaucoma is usually a slow progression. it works at the peripheral vision and steals it slowly, their is a small exception of the very progressive kind. i was diagnosed over 15 years ago at 30, i tried several different drops. then laser surgery in both eyes to try to release the pressure. it didn't work. they tried it twice because i was so young. i was on an hmo insurance back then. when i switched the dr said good, maybe now i can do something since you lost 1/2 your vision now. i was so upset that he didn't tell me this was happening to offer me some other way. but he didn't. i have a new dr now. according to him i didn't lose 1/2 my eyesight. i just take my eye drops right before bed. didn't have a problem for 10 yrs and now my pressures are up again. he will check them again in feb. if they are still up he said he would try other means. not sure what that means and didn't want to worry about it until then. good luck to you. hang in there the best you can. kathy in il
