Guest guest Posted April 4, 2009 Report Share Posted April 4, 2009 Today I went to the Dunkin Donuts, something I only do once a month or so. Some time ago they changed the lobby hours, closing well before dark because the place had been robbed three times. Today it wasn't yet 3PM, but the lobby was closed. At the drive through, the manager told me that that morning, a man came in and looked at the workers and customers then left. The manager called the police and they said to lock up the place and just use the window. He also told me they had been robbed again just a few days before and it was probably the same guy that came in today.He also said that pretty much every store up and down the main street had been robbed. The Burger King next door, the Taco Bell down the street, the gas stations, everything. The pigs are no help. They patrol somewhat, but they are never on hand when it happens and they never catch anyone. We all know where they are coming from and the employees could probably pick them out if they saw them again, but nothing is being done. The pigs just said it was the economy. The manager told the pig that that might be so, but that he had a business to run and employees he was afraid for. If this keeps up, businesses are going to start closing. All the banks have armed guards, but other places can't afford that. I'm pretty much making myself ready just to put this house on the market as is and walk away. If we start getting violent robberies here, that is what I'm going to do, no question about it. Why? Because I know that if I killed or even injured some robber in my house, I'd be going to jail or my house would be raided once the police were gone. Feeling the pinch at the grocery store?
