The concept of CADD has been around for some time and is being used in

law courts to deprive autistic man and women of the right to parent

their children despite NO EVIDENCE OF ABUSE. Maxine herself says she

uses the term to describe the effects of autistic male partners on

their wives. To my knowledge, Aston, Henault and Attwood have not done

any kind of formal study on this concept. I have been looking for

years and have not found any peer reviewed or statistical research on

this topic. That is not to say that it doesn't exist. I would be

happy to have references if you do find it.

I would expect that people would not simply sign this petition without

investigation. I don't think my post gave any indication that that was

expected. I do think that the statement shows a very sound

understanding of the issues and I know that a number of Autistics, like

myself, have been following the developments in this area for some

time.

Disorder " was INVENTED by British psychologist Maxine Aston.

Let us not forget that Autism was INVENTED by Eugen Bleuler, a Swiss

psychiatrist -- the first person to use the term.
