I don't know but I would think that odor and the appearance of the urine would

matter.? Is it different than normal?? Sometimes infection can make it more

concentrated or smelly.? Kelley in NV

OFFtopic- flank pain

This is offtopic, but does anyone know if you can have a kidney infection

without painful urination? Only symptoms are flank pain, chills and low grade

fever. Thanks, Stormy

When you have a fever, you do ache, but the flank pain could indicate a urinary

problem. It could be a kidney stone that very often leads to infection or it

may be a simple bladder infection. This is something not to foul around with so

please go to your doctor.

HI Stormy,

My cousin had ONLY severe back pain(doubled over) and she had a kidney infection

that put her in the hospital for a week.

I would get it checked out.
