"well if what you are saying is true, i hope all the other people with disabilities stop choosing to use their wheelchairs, hearing aids, guide dogs, breathing apparatus, glasses, asthma puffers etc etc and choose to function without them. Just walk away guys. Its your choice."

No one has a right to be subjected to bullying. Along those lines, I do not see why the rest of society ought to be penalized by the feelings of someone who has been bullied.

A bullied person has a right to their feelings, but that is no reason for them to make a career out of them and make everyone else have to bow down and cater to them.

I think you are really arguing hard for Aspie stagnation and lack of

self-development.

Yes, we need accommodations. All of us are different, and so all of us are going

to need different accommodations.

But I do not compare fear of advocating for one's self to a handicap. And in

relationships where Aspies are concerned, lots of times we do not try hard

enough.

We are self-centered. I think we all ought to admit that. I believe

self-centeredness is part of our make up.

Well, the world does not work that way. So what are we going to do? Expect

everyone to change for us? Or do we try harder to meet it half way?

And guess what, the world is not obliged to even TRY to meet us half way.

That leaves us in the position of either liking it or lumping it or attempting

to change ourselves or attempting to change the world.

I cannot respect folks who just sit there and bemoan their situations without

trying to change them first.
