I have to say I agree with most of what he says except the part about not " experimenting " on young children. How do we know if the ceiling of " mental age of 5-13 (average age 8) " can be raised if we do not try treatments on younger children as well (especially since 95% of the brain is fully developed by age 5, and most of that before age 3)? Other than that, I'm all for testing treatments on children with Ds of ANY age. I am working on an article about cognitive research that I will try to have finished an post later this week. . . let me know what you think once you see it.
