Guest guest
I think you mean biotin for the hair it is biotin not niacin. How is your diet? You told me you had a bad diet, nutrition is really important for your hair too. ----- Original Message ----- From: " nikkipep " <GP369@...> < > Sent: Saturday, December 15, 2001 1:32 PM Subject: OPPS Sorry > Sorry was sleepy and got my supplements mixed up. Guest guest
Niacin in the pure form (as in Niacin, not niacinimide) will ALWAYS produce a flush. It is called the " niacin flush " , and is frequently taken to help induce toxins to move out of the body in conjunction with a sauna. I get a flush every time I take it, and practically everyone will if you take a high enough dose. You can also buy niacin capsules that are " flush free " niacin because some people need to take extra niacin, but don't because they hate the flush so much. You already know about it because of your dancing. And yes, niacin in prolonged high doses are bad for the liver. Do you still have any burning feeling in your skin? Guest guest
Patty, I use to take 2,000-5,000 mg of Niacin a night. That is how I ended up in the ER. I passed out from it. The nurse I talked to said I could be sensitive to it now. I haven't had niacin in a month and no burning. I'm going to take it again to find out.
