Last summer I attended a meeting organized by Debby Valdez with senate judicial committee staff and several parents who have lost custody of their children to providers. The Covington's were there and everyone's personal story was disturbing to say the least. Each famliy had their version of the story you read about that happened to the Covington's. The senate judicial committee is looking at the issue and trying to sort it all out. It appears that some parts of Texas do guardianship well and others do not. There definitely appears to be some serious concerns about guardianship in Tarrant County. Debby is working very hard on this issue and would welcome everyone to join her in advocating for positive change in the judicial system.
