Guest guest
I know what you mean, Terry, about their face looking different. Josh used to get this " look " where I just knew what was going on inside his head when the OCD was winning. And when he was better, he also got his twinkle back. It's such a great feeling of relief to get your child back. I'm so glad to hear she is doing well. We've got some agonizing decisions to make this next year, concerning Josh leaving home. The teacher of the computer programming class he takes, wants him to try for a $60,000 scholarship. He says Josh has an excellent chance of winning it (his friend won last year). Since he is a senior, he can try for it this year. But, I'm unsure if he is ready to leave home. I would rather he went to the local community college for a couple of years first. Yet, he would have to use the scholarship right away, if he wins it, so would have to move out. I worry about him relapsing. He's done so well the last couple of years, I hate to see something upset everything. It's never easy with an OCD kid. I think we are going to have him go ahead and try for it, then see what the future brings. Me, I'm so used to worrying and taking care of him, that it's hard to turn it off. <smirk> BJ > > > > > > > Hi BJ, so good to hear from you. I'm sorry about your health problems, but the new procedure sounds hopeful. All the best to you. > > > So glad your son is still doing well. When the therapy works, it really works, doesn't it? Shows how strong Josh is that he continues to battle the monster. > > > My daughter returned to school on Sunday after her year's leave. So far, so good. We continue to cross all fingers and toes and hold our breath, but we're hopeful. > > > You were a big help to me when I needed it. You were strong and knowledgeable and I want you to use some of that for yourself right now. Good thoughts your way, > > > Terry > > > > > >
