Just took a look at the site. Very good and some interesting links to follow as well.

Hi miminm; Thanks for link to this mind boggling informative web site! The Mcarthy 'fans' who consider her an expert on autism have fallen into the 'trap' of assuming; because some one is an expert in one area, thay are expert in any area that they choose to expound on. renaissanzelady Need a job? I had a look at this site. Then I went to McCarthy's site (or sites about

her). I noticed she describes her son as an " Indigo Child " and herself as an

" Indigo Mom " .

I read the book " The Indigo Child " way before I knew anything about asd. After I

found out about asd, it occurred to me how much it was like this apparent

" Indigo Child " phenomenon. To me, " Indigo Child " is the new-age name for asd.

My point is, if McCarthy is saying her child is an " Indigo Child " then she

is completely deluding herself that he is no longer asd. He cannot be an " Indigo

Child " without also having many of the traits of an asd person.

I think indigo traits also sound like ASD but it is all the expectation for

greatness that bothers me with that idea. ASD is a life I do some things well,

I am afraid or avoid a lot of things and some things I am very bad at. It seems

hard to believe we are here to save the world

observe its demise maybe
