Guest guest
I've heard that there are disturbing side effects- eating family size bags of Cheetos and giggling for absolutely no reason.... jane > > Where do I sign up for the further studies??.....Marina > > > > > >> The researchers concluded that the findings of this small study > >> warrant a larger trial to study in more detail the effects of > >> cannabis-based therapies on RA. >

Guest guest
OMG---I love San Francisco!!! How is your arthritis there....vs...any where else you may have been?? my thought: " My arthritis may ache and it sure does groan but where will it feel ok?..... so I can finally call somewhere " Home' ? " I live in a climate that is true to all of the seasons. I hurt worse, as someone else previously stated, when the seasons change. But in the heart of any season---whether it be the coldest part of winter or hottest part of summer--I am ok. So really in autumn and spring it pretty much sucks.... and these are the two season that my 'emotions' love so much! LOL what to do? --so rambling on--- tonight I went to a play that my daughter was in.... prior to this play: I woke up this morning feeling very sore and painful...that was about 6am. I took my meds and kissed my daughters and sent them off to school. I went back to bed and woke again at around noonish still very sore...and wondered how would I ever make it to my daughter's play. She is 14 and had a lead part in her school play.... her first play too! So I got up took the usual meds that I was due for,.... and then instead of putting on the tv or a radio talk show like I would usually do, I turned on some music.... that lifted me a lot. In the afternoon...before the play... My daughter () had to be at the school early to get ready. She wanted me to do her hair...which is thick....very very thick!!! Anyway, I did her hair the best I could...but the 'director' wanted it a little different---I understand---but that hurt my heart so much at that moment... I mean I did most of her make-up and then did her hair the best I could. My ego was yelling at me and I sure was listening at that moment. I am 's mom but because of this pain in my hands I had to have someone else's mom fix my daughter's hair.... no big deal... dumb to feel bad about--- huh? But it nearly broke my heart..... Then I went to my prearranged seat and watched the play... It was wonderful....and my daughter was excellent in her part...(((no kidding))) And I was and am flared up in too many joints to count.... but--- by the time the play was over the happy--joyful part of myself had taken over more parts of my being than my painful RA did at that time. Does that make sense? Of course I was stiff---of course there was/is pain..but it was not center stage... When I got home I started thinking about it. My RA is still here. My joints are still stiff and very sore. I still have ((as I have come to call them)) troll hands... but for that time that I was so focused on something else...something that brought my heart happiness...it seemed...at least for the moment...that the pain was gone, or at least bearable. Other things that I have endured the pain to get for: going to the library, a good hockey game, a visit with a loving relative, any event that my child is participating in,...etc...and during these times the pain is there--- but it takes second stage....not center stage! My husband and I took out to a small diner after the play...and laughed and talked about the play and a lot of other things with her and it was fun... still I was sore---but I was soooo ok in the moment....!! So my feeling to this is --- there is something that we all a have within ourselves to get through this RA... We can listen to music...think of something you love to do...think of a memory...anything that brings a smile to your face....whether it be a good hockey game---as is my case--LOL...,your child laughing with you, someone calling out of the blue wanting to go fishing, or an up coming holiday... it worked for me tonight..finding joy in the moment...and a moment that will now turn into a memory...another memory for an future RA moment...?! Thinking about this I know this is not the first time that this has helped. I know I am a 'home mom right now' --- but there are times when I worked that I remember getting through the day because something touched me so much during the day that for the moment my pain was not center stage---and that let me know that my pain did not have to be center stage....not ever.... Anyway, these are the thoughts that I am having tonight... just wanted to share..... Above all else... I do know this... never give up hope... I think of you all. I pray for you all. I hope and happiness for us all..... somehow someway someday we will make it... maybe we are so blessed that we need to take a different path then the rest....eh? love, light, and take care... **joyce > > > Where do I sign up for the further studies??.....Marina > > > > > > > > >> The researchers concluded that the findings of this small study > > >> warrant a larger trial to study in more detail the effects of > > >> cannabis-based therapies on RA. > > > > > come to think of it i was a happy teenager lol...............lynn > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
OK, I think this calls for a road trip. I figure we might as well hit San Francisco. Anybody in?!?! LOL....Marina- -- In , " Barb K. " <zigerrr@y...> wrote: > > It would be so nice - I think it's just the best pain relief. I can't drive or function any better on any other pain med so why not pot! Oh well, someday we'll buy it legally I hope. > barb k. > > Mathews <mathews.teresa@s...> wrote: > It is so easy and legal to get your medical marajuana card in San Francisco. And the police are much too busy with other things than to worry about marajuana use, especially if the police themselves can do nothing about it. Alcohol is a much worse problem and I do believe that someday pot will be legal almost everywhere. > > Cami DeFries wrote:, > > Right on Mulder! Guest guest
I smoke, but it's not legal here. I'm just careful. Honestly, for as little as I have in the house at any one time coupled with the fact I'm an 'angel' (LOL), I don't believe I have anything to worry about. I don't think the police are concerned about someone who might 2 to 4 'hits' worth in their home. LOL! And, it's the ONLY thing that truly helps...everything else is pretty pathetic for pain management I think. Right now, we have a MAJOR problem in our area with Meth...I think that's a much more serious issue & they're really concentrating on that, as they should be. Guest guest
a, I agree - pot is MUCH safer & better than alcohol. Alcohol is a poison...have you watched the news lately regarding all deaths on college campuses due to alcohol poisoning? I get mine from someone I trust...it's homegrown & he isn't actually a dealer. He only 'sells' to friends that have diseases...he also has MS & that's what got him started. He's been growing for over 20 years and has never had any issues legally or otherwise. Great guy! His doesn't get anything sprayed on it...just plain old plants. Guest guest
I don't smoke enough to get truly 'high'. Just a couple 'hits' & it controls the pain & then I'm done. I know people who use it several times a day & function completely normal...they also use it for pain. I only use once or twice a month - just when things get to the point where I can't think because I can't stop crying. I supplement with a TON of over-the-counter pain med's...none of which are even reasonably safe for my liver, etc. What else can you do?
