Guest guest Posted November 17, 2005 Report Share Posted November 17, 2005 I have had ra for over 4 years now. for the last 2 years I have also been battling itp (idiopathic thrombocytopenia pupura) its a blood disorder we think brought on my methotrexate I was on for the ra. ok now the weird part, when my platelets were low my ra was fine. I never had any struglles with it and felt really good. Now that my platelets are back in normal ranges (itp in remission?) I am getting the pain again from the ra. soooooo makes me wonder if there is some kind of connection there. anyone else out there with low platelets (or maybe on coumadin) that it seems to help wiht the ra pain?
