Guest guest
Hi , Yes this is the problem. My daughter has had so many different diagnosis's. I have taken her all over and it is always a different combination of diagnosis's.It is very difficult to prove anything to the school when her diagnosis keeps changing. My daughter does do better in school than at home, but she has also been in partial and full hospitalization and she did not do well there. Her school counselor has also seen that she lacks in social skills and communication, as well as I see it here at home.. This was when she got her first diagnosis of PDD. She hides things well, and most of her therapists don't see any problems with her until after they have seen her for months. She only sees her psychiatrist for 15 minutes once a month, so he doesn't see any autistic traits. He sees only the defiance and moodiness. She is also very immature for her age and had very extreme sensory issues when she was younger. She still has that but it has improved. Thanks for sharing, and I hope your daughter does well with the new teacher this year! Hugs Judy
