Guest guest
We are still waiting to get Lilly (13 yrs tomorrow) in with Psychologist Lee Fitzgibbons. Should be early to mid October. It's been 2 weeks since I lowered her dose of Zoloft from 125 to 100 mg. About a week ago we added Inositol too. I think her anxiety is down a little. Not a big noticeable amount but some. (She's up to 2 tsp. a day on the Inositol and I want to get one more into her) I really feel the Zoloft just stopped working and I'm planning to take her to our family dr. that prescribed it and talk about getting her off it completely. One thing I began implementing yesterday was a reward system. One of the things that disrupts our family a lot is Lilly's inability to get dressed and get her teeth brushed.ready to start or end the day. Mostly because she hates the anxiety it causes and she puts it off and puts it off until hours have passed. (feeling stressed all the time and me pushing her to just do it) But when she finally tackles it, she does it, with repetitions, but not too badly. Beginning last night I told her that if she can get dressed/teeth brushed in less than a half hour in both the a.m. and p.m. for 14 days in a row that I'll take her shopping for clothes. I hate to shop and she loves it. I can't spend a lot but told her I'd give her $25 and an afternoon with me to spend it and I won't hurry her shopping. She's excited about the idea and both last night and this morning she made it within her half hour with room to spare. Still, our most difficult time is bedtime with lots of repititions of going in and out doorways, up and down stairs, in and out of bed, me laying on her floor, etc. I'm hoping that if the reward system works with dressing that it will also work with bedtime but since that is her hardest thing, I'll either wait until we are successful with dressing or until we are working with the psychologist before tackling that one. After a particularly difficult night last night, she's agreed to try taking Melatonin. I'll head to the drugstore today and see if I can find some. Thought it is still very difficult at times, I'm hopeful more often than not that she can get this under control. Shaw

Guest guest
She was on 50 mg for a year..75 for 6 months, then things really started to fall apart. We upped it to 100mg for a couple weeks then 125 for a couple weeks. Things continued to get worse, not better. That was when we changed to Celexa.
