Well - so happy she's improved so much! YAY! I have read that some people

respond better to *less* -- the " less is more " effect I guess; worsen on higher

doses, do better on low. Was she on much of a dosage? Still, more improvement

after she stopped it altogether, that's great!

seeing rapid IMPROVEMENTS? We just weaned our 10 yod off of Zoloft as her OCD

had progressed to a point that it was severe - we saw no reason to continue with

the Zoloft if it was not doing her any good. We weaned her off so that we could

try a different med and nearly 2 weeks after coming off, she has begun to

improve drastically. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this

phenomena. Don't know how long this will last, but just checking.

Hi there,

We reduced to a lower dose with SSRI and found that better than higher dose.

When medication was stopped comletely for a month, I seem to remember it was

quiet for about a week and then erupted back to severe and stayed there. Also,

remember it was better for first week when starting SSRI. So, some of it might

have been a placebo effect?

Glad your daughter is doing so much better. It may just be, if this was the

wrong drug or dose for her, that it caused more problems and made the OCD worse.

We certainly experienced that.

Hope you continue to see positive gains!
