medication and weight gain

My 7 year old daughter was put on Luvox over a year ago, once we reached a VERY

high dose she started to gain weight (last Dec). Then in Feb we added a small

dose of Abilify. She has gained 20 pounds. This summer we have been able to

cut her Luvox dose in half (at this dose previously she was not gaining weight).

The Dr. keeps telling me her weight will taper off, that they will gain weight

and then it will stop. He keeps telling me this is temporary. Has anyone had

experience with this? It doesn't seem to be temporary yet, I feel like I am

buying her disposable clothing. She out grows it as fast as I can buy it. On

the good note - her OCD has been VERY stable since Feb. I try to focus on the

positive but it can't be healthy and she is starting to notice that she can't

fit into anything. Anyone have a similar experience or any advice??

Thank you

Robin
