Guest guest
It will be interesting to see what happens. North Korea has a large army in theory, but all that I have been reading indicates that it is in sorry shape. Still, a masses infantry assault against South Korea, and terror attacks by its special forces inside South Korea and Japan would cause economic chaos. What is also interesting is the verbiage of this warning. It is very typical of Communist regimes. Lots of words to gussy up what they are saying and trying to spin it to make themselves look tough and right. My greatest concern is that there are reports that North Korea has been doing biological warfare research, sometimes using political prisoners as test subjects. Just how advanced they are is a mystery, to me anyway, though there are surely those in the West who have a good idea. Even if their chemical and biological weapons aren't that advanced, merely firing a few warheads into a populated area would cause great panic. Same thing is special ops guys release the poisons directly. Like I said, it will be interesting to see what happens, though I suspect the US and Japan will do nothing. Amusing though that we have ships over there but certain members of the Obama administration have said that we have no plans to handle the situation. Eerily reminiscent of a State Department flunky letting slip that South Korea was not in our sphere of protection, after which the North invaded, or how another State Department flunky said we had no interest in Kuwait in 1990, and Sadaam invaded it shortly thereafter. " Nothing is going to happen because the US and Japan have already said they will not interfere. The reason North Korea can issue the threat is because they know nothing is going to happen. MY fear would be if the rocket blows up unexpectedly, or if they remote control detonate the rocket and then accuse Japan or the US of blowing it up either with missiles or by signal interference or hacking. Then North Korea would launch an attack, although why they would do such a thing is beyond me. It would certainly spell the end of North Korea.
