Guest guest
Hi, welcome! Glad you have a local support group to go to, bet that helps your daughter also, knowing she's not alone. I imagine you've tried this but was wondering about the writing, if she carried a paper pad with her (apparently she must carry something she's writing with)? Can she wash the windows? (know it can be hard to get a teen to do chores) Or be limited to *a* window or other place to write? Yes, there have been lots of spitting posts here, hope someone can suggest some tips that helped their child. Is that recent or has it been ongoing for a while? > > Hi again, my post worked this time. I have a 14 year old daughter with OCD and ADHD we have had real struggles this last school year and I am a little worried about this year. We have tried several meds and they make her manic. She is in with a CBT and several other doctors. I hear a lot of " this is a very complex child " and we have tried to pin point what all is going on. She spits and I saw a post on here about spitting, no one can really say why she does this. She calls it " tagging " it is a complex touching game. She also does it when she is " grossed out " . She also writes random words in and on any surface with any thing. I wash my wnidows daily. She calls them her notes and jots them down in a panic. She never refers back to them. She worries about loosing thoughts and this is how she keeps track. Currently, she is on Abilify and things are much better. (it is still summer schedule though) There is much more but right now I would love to hear if anyone has had experience with these complusions? >
Guest guest
My daughter started with a spitting symptom 2 years go, which I didn't know was OCD. She would spit into her shirt whenever she saw something that made her uncomfortable. This has grown to full blown essence contamination now.
