Guest guest
I fell off the exercise wagon many months ago. (except for walking the dog a few times a week) I've decided that if my daughter can work so hard on her OCD (or for that matter even live with the anxiety- I won't quit if she has a hard day or anything) that I can make myself exercise for half an hour daily. For me, it's a mental battle to get myself to exercise. When I want to quit or not even start I'll think of my daughter and get my ass down stairs and exercise. (how's that for motivation?) It will benefit my health and help reduce my stress as I help my daughter with her OCD. I thought someone might also be inspired by this idea and want to jump on board. I'm over weight and I'm beginning with low impact aerobics. Sansone walk aerobics are my exercise of choice for now. I started today. Yay me! One day down. Shaw P.S. Lilly had the best night she's had for weeks last night. She brushed her teeth and was done after only a handful of repititions and she was asleep an hour after we went into her room. It was much less anxious for her. She got out of bed repeatedly on three occasions but waited a long time in between and was not half as stressed. This was the third or fourth night since we reduced her Zoloft to 100mg from 125. Not sure if it is the medication or not. We also working on reassureance issues. Except for the really hard ones, like hand washing, I've told her I'll only reassure her twice per episode and so far she's doing well with it.
